The Australian Gift and Prepaid Card Association (AGPCA) is aware of recent reports and online content alleging a potential security vulnerability involving gift cards issued by The Card Network (TCN), a member of our Association.

We do not speak on behalf of individual members and advise directing questions about specific member organisations directly to that company.

As the trade body representing Australia’s gift and prepaid card market, AGPCA is dedicated to facilitating collaboration between retailers, card issuers, financial institutions, and other supporting organisations to promote industrywide solutions for key issues such as fraud prevention. While we do not disclose specifics for security reasons, it is important to know that our member organisations work with law enforcement professionals to establish standards of best practice and identify emerging threats.
